Considered by many to be America’s greatest living choreographer, Paul Taylor is a founder and towering icon of America’s indigenous art form of modern dance. Taylor was awarded the National Medal of the Arts, recognized as a Kennedy Center Honors recipient, and won an Emmy award for his achievements in choreography. The Paul Taylor Dance Company returns to the Quick with a program that features a roster of classic works and audience favorites. Whether you’re a fan of ballet or modern dance, or just curious to dip your toe into the world of dance, this is one company everyone should experience at least once.
This evening of incredible dance will include Roses (1985), Continuum (choreographed by Lila York, 2017), and Piazzolla Caldera (1997) featuring music by Astor Piazzolla and Jerzy Peterburshsky.
