Cultural Pursuit members have been offered complimentary tickets to this special book lover’s event at the Burns Film Center!
Q&A: author Pamela Paul with JBFC Board President Janet Maslin followed by a book signing – Paul’s book, My Life with Bob: Flawed Heroine Keeps Book of Books, Plot Ensues, will be available for signing and sale courtesy of the Village Bookstore.
Imagine keeping a record of every book you’ve ever read. What would this reading trajectory say about you? Pamela Paul has kept a single book by her side for 28 years-carried throughout high school and college, hauled from Paris to Thailand, job to job, apartment to house. This book is named Bob: Paul’s Book of Books, a journal that records every book she’s ever read. In My Life with Bob, Paul “perfectly captures the joys of a lifetime devoted to books” (author Maria Semple) while reflecting on her inner life-her hopes and dreams, mistakes and ideas.

Pamela Paul, author and Editor of The New York Times Book Review
Join Paul, author and editor of The New York Times Book Review, and Janet Maslin, JBFC Board President and longtime New York Times critic, as they discuss the deep and powerful relationship between book and reader.
Complimentary tickets are available through Thursday, July 13th. Please RSVP before end of the business day so I can secure our tickets. Hope to see you there!
