Cultural Pursuit members are invited to join me for a private Bordeaux wine tasting at Castle Wine and Spirits. Kathleen Smith, our instructor, will be putting together a selection especially for us:
“In this evening’s class, we’ll try both Right Bank and Left Bank Bordeaux from one of the most famous wine regions in the world. We’ll sample white wines Bordeaux Blanc and Graves Blanc. For the reds, we’ll taste St. Emilion from the Right Bank, Margaux from the Left Bank and Pessac-Leognan from the south, and we’ll finish with the celebrated dessert wine Sauternes…à votre sauté !”

Bordeaux enjoys the distinction of being the largest AOC vineyard of France, and this can be attributed to its great diversity of high-quality terroirs. The broad range of wines that it produces will satisfy every wine lover for every occasion, while offering a wide price range. Geographic factors and the styles of wine produced are what define the ‘six families’ of Bordeaux wines.
Members can RSVP to Laura via email to reserve a seat, payment is needed by Saturday, October 22. Seating is limited, maximum is 10 people. Guests are welcome!
Cost: $20 per person
